Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer : 6 To 8 years of total work Experience

  • How design and development by using 8bit/16 bit microcontroller/microprocessor for embedded system
  • Review product requirements; create technical specifications as well as system testing requirements.
  • Design & Development, modifications of systems including Analog & Digital components, sensors and RF/antenna designs.
  • Update and maintain detailed schematics, components library, BOM and design documents for products.
  • Provide PCB layout design guidelines to PCB designers and maintain Gerbers files
  • Perform component selection for obsolescence and value engineering programs
  • Provide detailed circuit analysis, tolerance analysis, simulations, HW FMEA
  • Preparation of test plans for the circuits designed or modified.
  • Troubleshooting hardware, debug firmware and optimize performance.
  • Work closely with test labs for agency certifications like FCC/CE/UL/FM, etc.
  • Follow internal hardware and firmware development processes and contribute to process improvements.
  • Ability to communicate concepts, unit and system level hardware design, design validation test results and progress of projects to core team and leadership.
    The experience and skills required include but are not limited to the following:
  • Strong knowledge in analog and mixed embedded system design by using 8 bit/16/32bit micro controllers or processors PICxxx series, TI, NXP, Si-Lab devices, etc
  • Hands on experience of design & debugging different communication interfaces like I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, BLE, external memories, etc.
  • Proficiency in Schematic capture tools like Orcad/PADs.
  • Proficiency in circuit analysis, circuit simulation using PSpice/Mathcad and circuit tolerance analysis is must.
  • High level Experience with PCB layout tools like Allegro/PADS/ layout
  • Experience in Programming languages like C and Assembly, a plus

Typical Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electronics/ Electrical/ Computers) with 6 to 8 years of embedded hardware development.
